Eid Milad un Nabi According to Ahle Sunnat
The use of word Eid is prohibited for Eid Milad un Nabi because there are only two Eid’s in Islam. Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha. If there is a third Eid, then why not prayer?. Now we come to the answer that considers this sacred day Eid is prohibited. There is also an information of Eid besides the Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha in The Quran because the meaning of Eid is happiness and for the Muslims what happiness (EID) can be higher than The Prophet (SAW) birthday?.
Hazrat Esa (A.S) prayers are written in these words in The Quran, “Our Lord, send down the bounties of blessings upon us from heaven so that it may be considered as Eid for us and it became a sign from You and you are the best provider”.
