eid ul adha 2018

Once Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) saw a dream, where Ibrahim (A.S) listen a voice of a person which was saying,

Ae Ibrahim, Allah orders you to sacrifice your son for the sake of Allah. Because the dreams of The Prophets are true and is a sign of Allah’s (Wahi) so, Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) agreed to sacrifice His beloved son Hazrat Ismail (A.S) for the sake of Allah. Hazrat Ismail (A.S) was just a kid at that time. So, Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) just said Him to take a knife and string and follow me.

So, they went in a jungle and Hazrat Ismail (A.S) asked “Father why you bring this knife and string with you?”

Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) said, for a sacrifice (Qurbani).

When they went far away from home, Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) said everything clearly to His son.

Son, I am going to sacrifice your life for the sake of Allah. It is our Allah’s wish, what’s your wish?

Hazrat Ismail (A.S) said, Father when it is Allah’s wish so, why are you asking my wish? Just do it what Allah ordered you. InshaAllah I’ll keep patience.

By listening His son, Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) became very happy and prepare for the sacrifice. Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) lie down inverted His son and tried to cut His son’s neck but the knife did not cut Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) neck. Then Hazrat Ibrahim closed His eyes and tried again with His full power.

Then He (A.S) listen a voice,

Ae Ibrahim (A.S) you have done what Allah ordered you to do. You are successful in the toughest exam of your life.

Then Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) opens His eyes and look down. He was surprised that there was a Dumba (Animal) and Hazrat Ismail (A.S) was standing behind Him. Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) thanked to Allah and became happy. He was successful in His exam.

So after this incident, the sacrifice Halal animal in the month of Hajj mubarak became Sunnah and called as Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi. Now Muslims celebrate this Eid al-Adha every year in the month of Hajj.

Eid ul Adha 2018 Sacrifice Days

The sacrifice of animal on Eid ul Adha is has specific three days. The other days are not count in the Eid’s Prayers. The days of animals sacrifice are in the month of Hajj and dates are 10th, 11th and 12th of Hajj. If the sacrifice days are finishes and a person can’t sacrifice his animal due to some problems then he’ll provide the sacrifice (Qurbani) amount to needy people as Sadaqah.

But this amount will not consider as Sadaqah during the Eid ul Adha days.

Because to sacrifice an animal on Eid al Adha is a Prayer. Like by offering Namaz doesn’t consider as Fast (Roza), Keeping Fast doesn’t consider as Namaz and the giving of Zakat doesn’t consider as Hajj. Same like giving Sadaqah doesn’t consider as sacrifice (Qurbani).
